Rifqa Bary is a 17-year old from Ohio who ran away from home in fear of 'her life'. This teen, like typical teenagers, rebelled against the traditions set forth by her family. In her case, she embraced Christianity and falsely accused her parents of wanting to kill her for "honor."
Although she drew much attention as a victim, there was no evidence that indicated that her family wished her any harm. Moreover, the couple who aided her move from Ohio to Florida, have not been charged with kidnapping or been reprimanded.
